Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister for Food and Environment, Muhammad Mansha Ullah Butt conducted inspections of various tyres godowns and junkyards at Thokar Niaz Baig, Band Road and Multan Road here on Friday.

Environment Protection Department, Punjab, Secretary Sajjad Saleem Hotiana, DDO Environment Muhammad Younas and Dr. Waseem Akram also accompanied him. During the inspection, a workshop and a transport service godown were sealed for not following the new tyres policy rules. Several other warehouses, including TMA Iqbal Town, were issued warning notices for not maintaining the cleanliness.

Talking to media persons during the inspection, Mansha Ullah Butt said that the dengue had taken many precious lives last year and the Punjab Chief Minister and his team had played its vital role in controlling this menace.

He said that solid measures were also being taken to control the dengue virus in the city. He urged the masses to keep their places clean and avoid storing clean water in open atmosphere.
