LSE witnesses bearish trend

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday witnessed bearish trend with losing 7.07 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 3186.25 and closed at 3179.18 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.566 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.958 million shares, showing a downward slide of 391,347 shares. While, out of the total 92 active scrips 16 moved up, 55 remained equal with 21 shed values.

MCB Bank Limited, Fauji Fertilizer Company and Netsol Technologies Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 2.98, Rs 1.48 and Re 0.97 respectively.

Engro Foods Limited, Allied Bank Limited and Engro Corporation Limited lost their per share value by Rs 1.86, Rs 1.56 and Re 0.70 respectively.

The Volume Leader of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 266,819 shares, Fauji Cement Company Limited with 179,700 shares, and Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 151,000 shares.
